James B. Dudley High School Educational and Sports Hall of Fame & Hall of Distinction
The James B. Dudley High School Educational and Sports Hall of Fame and Hall of Distinction was established to recognize and celebrate individuals who have brought honor, distinction, leadership, and excellence to James B. Dudley High School through athletics, academics, military service, professional achievement, civic engagement, and community leadership.
For generations, Dudley High School has produced trailblazers, champions, educators, public servants, entrepreneurs, athletes, and community leaders who continue to make a lasting impact locally, nationally, and globally. The Hall of Fame and Hall of Distinction proudly preserves the rich legacy of Dudley while inspiring future generations of Panthers.
Hall of Fame
The Hall of Fame recognizes former student-athletes, coaches, educators, and contributors who have demonstrated exceptional achievement and brought great distinction to James B. Dudley High School through athletics and service.
Eligibility Requirements
Nominees for the Hall of Fame should demonstrate outstanding accomplishments in athletics, coaching, leadership, and community standing.
Athlete Eligibility
Nominees must:

Be a graduate of Dudley High School (minimum two years attended) or a Guilford County Middle College graduate

Have been a two-year varsity starter
-
Demonstrate outstanding athletic achievement and honors
-
Be a citizen in good standing within the community
-
Be out of school for at least 10 years
Coach Eligibility
Nominees must:

Have coached at Dudley High School for at least 10 years
-
Demonstrate excellence through championships, honors, awards, and leadership
-
Have contributed significantly to the legacy and reputation of Dudley High School
-
Be a citizen in good standing within the community
Required Supporting Materials
Hall of Fame applications must include:

A nomination letter from a teammate or coach

A nomination letter from a non-relative community member
-
A nomination letter from a member of the Hall of Fame/Hall of Distinction

Complete contact information for all letter writers

No. All applications must be typed and completed electronically. Handwritten applications will not be accepted.

No. Applications missing required nomination letters or signatures will not be processed.
What happens after submission?
Applications are reviewed by the Hall of Fame/Hall of Distinction Vetting Committee. Invitations for induction are extended only to applicants receiving a majority vote.
