The purpose of the James B. Dudley High School Educational and Sports Hall of Fame/Hall of Distinction is 

 

• To recognize those who made outstanding contributions athletically, academically, civically, or spiritually while at Dudley and/or in subsequent life
   

• To inspire our students to strive for excellence in education, sports, civic duty, and spiritual involvement;
   

• To encourage the preservation of records of athletic teams, honor societies, student government leadership, and community involvement of our students and alumni to allow them, deserving alumni, their distinction at the appropriate time;
   

• To maintain high standards, high ideals, and traditions of academics, athletics, civic duty, and spiritual leadership to be included in the James B. Dudley High School Educational and Sports Hall of Fame/Hall of Distinction;
   

• To inspire our student athletes, scholars, and leaders to be physically, morally, and socially fit and to strive for the highest achievement within the bounds of their mental and physical capability.
